​Desert Tours from Marrakesh to Merzouga-Group Tours

DAY 1: Marrakesh - Telouate - Ouarzazate(B,D)​

Morning departure crossing the High Atlas 2260m high passage of Tizi n'Tichka arriving in Telouet for the visit of Kasbah Pacha Glaoui. Lunch in Tasga restaurant. Heading through the old caravan tracks crossing the amazing Ounila Valley and its dozens of mountain Berber villages until we reach the UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou for a special visit. Road to Ouarzazate where you diner and stay overnight .

DAY 2:Ouarzazate - Gorges du Todra - Merzouga(B,D)

Leaving Ouarzazate around 7:30am towards Skoura where we'll have a quick 20 minutes visit of the Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern "Route of the thousand kasbahs". Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses where we'll have a 15 minute stop in Et Kella M'Gouna. Heading Boulmane, reaching Tinghir and 20km after, its fabulous canyons, the Gorges du Todra Canyons. Free time to walk around the "gorges", enjoy the river and the fabulous views. Lunch at a local restaurant. After midday we drive to Tinjedad and Touroug Palm Plantations reaching Erfoud town for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, The Dunes of Merzouga. We now switch from our 4x4 to camels, where you'll be taken on a camel ride on the dunes to enjoy the Sun set on the dunes and overnight on a true nomad bivouac. Diner sleeping in bivouac on nomad Berber tents in the middle of the dunes of Merzouga.

DAY 3:Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Tazzarine - Zagora(B,D)

Early morning departure to enjoy Sun rise on Sahara Desert, camel ride back to the hotel where the 4x4 are parked. Breakfast and departure towards the Palm Plantation of Tafilalet passing Rissani, the old Alaouite Sahara capital by the ancient Alaouite Sultans. Road to Alnif where lunch is waiting. Visit to Tazzarine, Tansihkt and N'kob Oasis. Tracks crossing the Draa Valley and its fabulous Palm Plantations. Arrival at Zagora, diner and overnight.

DAY 4:Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakesh(B)

After breakfast we start our journey passing the Draa Valley and its Oasis. Road in Anti Atlas Mountains passing 1660m high. After midday we get to Marrakesh passing the High Atlas and Tizi n'Tichka Pass.

Full itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakesh-Dades
 
After breakfast you depart for Dades gorge over the High Atlas Mountains through the Tichka Pass. Keep your eyes open for the Berber villages tucked away in the mountain side. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, lunch will be served. In the afternoon, you will tour Aït Benhaddou, one of the world''s most magnificent Kasbahs, this setting has been used for more films than any other location in Morocco; films including, Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and recently The Gladiator.  After we will continue through Skoura,Mgouna and then we will arrive to the most attractive valley in Dades. Overnight there.
 
Day 2: Dades-Merzouga
 
After taking your breakfast,we will depart to the Sahara sand dunes at Merzouga. On the way we will stop at the Todra gorge which has one of the beautiful massive gorges and stunning oases of dates and other vegetation watered by a very old irrigation system in the south of Morocco. Then through Tinijdad and the Tafilalt valley passing at the village or Ksar of Jorf. We will arrive at your Hotel and take a rest with some mint tea before to take your camel ride to the oases in the heart of Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight under the full sky of stars in a Berber tent.​
 
Day 3: Merzouga-Fes
 
Today we will get up early for seeing the best sunrise of the desert. After a hot shower and breakfast back in the hotel,we will start our travel to Fes via the Erfoud,Errachidia,Ziz valley,Talghomt pass then we will have lunch in Midelt. In the afternoon we will drive through the Middle atlas woods,we will explore the cedar woods with the barbary apes at the national park of Ifrane then to the Swiss city of Morocco and then head to Fes.
